- Online preliminary exam: 100 marks, screening only. Marks are not counted in the final result.
- Hindi / English shorthand skill test: 100 marks. Candidates are shortlisted in the ratio of about 1:5 per post (all candidates with the cut-off marks are included).
- Final merit list: Prepared category-wise from the skill test marks, the post chosen in the form and the qualification.
- Document verification and medical fitness, followed by district allotment through counselling.
- Bond: Selected candidates must sign a bond of Rs. 2 lakh and serve for at least 3 years.
