Bihar B.Ed. CET 2026 – Overview

The B. R. Ambedkar Bihar University, Muzaffarpur, has been designated as the State Nodal University by the Hon'ble Chancellor, Government of Bihar, to conduct the Bihar B.Ed. Combined Entrance Test 2026 (CET-B.Ed. 2026) for admission to the Two-Year B.Ed. and Shiksha Shastri (B.Ed.) Programme across all universities of Bihar running B.Ed. courses.

This is the single gateway for aspirants who wish to pursue a career in teaching by gaining admission into B.Ed. colleges affiliated with various Bihar state universities. The entrance test is scheduled for 07 June 2026 (Sunday). Online applications are being accepted from 27 April 2026 to 18 May 2026. Read the complete details below before filling up the form.

🎓 Eligibility Criteria (Educational Qualification)

For Two-Year B.Ed. Programme:

Candidates are eligible to appear in CET-B.Ed. 2026 if they have:

  • Passed Bachelor's Degree (10+2+3) in any discipline with a minimum of 50% aggregate marks, OR
  • Passed Master's Degree in Sciences / Social Sciences / Humanities / Commerce with a minimum of 50% aggregate marks, OR
  • Passed Bachelor's in Engineering (B.E.) / Technology (B.Tech.) with specialisation in Science and Mathematics with a minimum of 55% marks, OR
  • Any other qualification equivalent to the above.

For Shiksha Shastri (B.Ed.) Programme:

Candidates must meet one of the following criteria:

  • Option (a): Bachelor's Degree (10+2+3) with Sanskrit as the main subject OR Master's Degree in Sanskrit OR Acharya in traditional Sanskrit Shastra, all with a minimum of 50% marks.
  • Option (b): Two-Year Shastri or B.A. (with Sanskrit) with minimum 50% marks AND Acharya (First Year) OR M.A. Sanskrit (First Year) — the first year marks are NOT added for calculating the 50% aggregate.
  • Candidates with Two-Year Shastri/B.A. (Sanskrit) with 50% marks must complete a one-year bridge course to be eligible for Shiksha Shastri (B.Ed. 2026).
⚠️ Important Note on Eligibility: The minimum 50% marks will be determined from the complete degree (not by adding First Year / Bridge Course marks separately). Candidates must verify their eligibility before applying, as any shortcoming in eligibility will be their sole responsibility.

📝 CET-B.Ed. 2026 Exam Pattern

The entrance test is an offline (OMR-based) examination of 2 hours duration. Candidates must use only Blue/Black Ball Pen to mark answers on the OMR sheet. There is NO negative marking.

💻 How to Apply for Bihar B.Ed. CET 2026

📋 Keep These Ready Before Applying: Valid Email ID (will be your Login ID), Active Mobile Number, Recent passport-sized colour photo (JPEG, max 100 KB), Signature on white paper with black ball pen (JPEG, max 100 KB), Marksheets of Matriculation / Intermediate / Graduation / PG (as applicable), Aadhaar Card / Voter ID / Driving Licence / Passport (any one), Caste Certificate / Divyaang Certificate / SMQ Certificate (if applicable), Online payment facility (UPI/Net Banking/Debit/Credit Card).
  • Step 1 – Registration: Visit biharcetbed-brabu.in and register by filling in the required details. Upload your passport-size photo and signature at this stage. Your Email ID will serve as your Login ID.
  • Step 2 – Activation: Activate and validate your registration through the link sent to your email and the activation code sent to your mobile number.
  • Step 3 – Fill Application Form: Log in again using your Email ID and password. Click on "My Application" and fill in the details carefully: Personal Details, Gender (fill very carefully — cannot be changed after payment), Domicile, Category, Marital Status, Identity Proof (Aadhaar preferred), and Postal Address.
  • Step 4 – Educational Details & Documents: Enter your Matriculation, Intermediate, Graduation, and PG marks. Upload marksheets in JPEG format. Upload Aadhaar, Caste Certificate, Divyaang Certificate, and/or SMQ Certificate as applicable.
  • Step 5 – Choose Exam Centre Cities: Select three preferred cities for your examination centre (B.Ed. candidates). Shiksha Shastri candidates will automatically get Darbhanga as the exam centre.
  • Step 6 – Preview & Confirm: Carefully review all details in the preview. Make any corrections if needed. Once you click "Confirm", no further edits will be possible.
  • Step 7 – Pay Fee: Click on "Proceed to Payment" and pay the required application fee via Net Banking / Credit Card / Debit Card / UPI.
  • Step 8 – Take Printout: After successful payment, take a printout of the completed application form. Keep it safely for future reference. Do NOT send it to the university.
