⚙️ Selection Process
The recruitment for CRPF Constable 2026 involves the following sequential stages — a candidate must qualify each stage to proceed to the next:
- Physical Efficiency Test (PET): Race test conducted via RFID-based digitalized equipment. Qualifying in nature. No appeal against PET results.
- Physical Standard Test (PST): Measurement of Height, Chest (Males), and Weight. Conducted for PET qualifiers only. One appeal allowed to DIG of Group Centre on the same day.
- Computer Based Test (CBT): 100 marks, 2-hour objective MCQ paper. Final selection merit is based on normalized CBT scores.
- Trade / Skill Test: Practical assessment out of 50 marks. Candidates must score at least 20 marks to qualify. Qualifying in nature.
- Document Verification (DV): Verification of all original documents and certificates at the Recruitment Centre.
- Detailed Medical Examination (DME) / Review Medical Examination (RME): Comprehensive medical fitness check by CRPF Medical Board. Candidates found unfit in DME may apply for RME on the very next day.
